This policy explains what personal information Innospe Inc. collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect very little: what you send us through the contact form, and the standard technical data every web server records.
1. Who we are
Innospe Inc. ("Innospe", "we", "us", "our") is a software development company located at 55, 145 1/2 Church Street, Unit 5, Toronto, Ontario M5B 1Y4, Canada. We are the organisation responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to www.innospe.com and to enquiries you send us through it. Personal information we handle while delivering services to a client is governed by our agreement with that client.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- the service you are interested in
- the content of your message, including anything you choose to tell us about your project or organisation
If you email us directly, we collect your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting provider records standard technical data in server logs: IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages requested, the referring page, and the date and time of each request.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive information such as health data, government identification numbers, or payment card details through this website.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project with you
- prepare proposals and estimates you have asked for
- manage our relationship with you if you become a client
- keep the website secure, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse
- meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Legal basis and consent
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the contact form or email us. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal bases are: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business and website, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Marketing messages
Submitting the contact form does not add you to a marketing list. We send commercial electronic messages only where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) allows, which generally means with your consent. Every such message identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels, and we do not track you across other websites.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request. Google's handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy.
If we introduce analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
7. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- EmailJS, which transmits contact form submissions to our email inbox
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts and delivers the website and keeps the server logs described above
- our email and business software providers, where your enquiry and our correspondence are stored
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to establish or defend legal claims, or to a successor organisation as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
8. Transfers outside Canada
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country is subject to that country's laws and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. We use contractual and other measures to keep it protected to a standard comparable to this policy.
9. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to pursue the discussion it started. If you become a client, we keep related records for the length of our relationship and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting, or legal requirements demand. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described under Your rights.
10. How we protect information
We protect personal information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access limited to staff who need it, and security requirements for our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:
- to ask whether we hold personal information about you and to receive a copy
- to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
- to withdraw your consent
- to ask us to delete your information or restrict how we use it
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- to receive your information in a portable format
- to complain to a privacy regulator
To exercise any of these, email sales@innospe.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We respond within 30 days, or within the period your local law sets if shorter.
In Canada, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. In the EU or UK, you can contact your local data protection authority. California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; as noted above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
12. Children
This website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
This website may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If a change is significant, we will give it more prominent notice on the website.
